Charlton Orchards, founded in 1947, has been selling traditional varieties of fruit for over 60 years.
As well as apples, other crops include soft fruit, plums, damsons, pears, pumpkins and squash. A range of single variety apple juices are produced, ranging from very sweet (Egremont Russet), to dry (Bramley).
We also grow a large selection of Kitchen Garden plants.
Bare root fruit trees and bushes are available during the winter.
All of our products can be purchased from our Apple Shed at the farm, and are also available from our stalls at the many local markets and farmers markets we attend.
See the Produce page for full details of what is available.
Charlton Orchards was founded in 1947 by Mr Greenshields, and sold to the Freudenberg family in the 1950s. Robin Small became a partner in the early 1960s. Today there are 4 partners, and the orchard is run by Duncan Small (Robin’s son), and Sally Bail.
